Halloween Nails! 🎃

I've loved painting my nails for a long time and I've taught myself nail art/improved my nail art skills over the years so I thought I'd make this post/video teaching you three nail art designs you could do for Halloween.

As I am not an expert, I would rate these pretty easy, some easier than others. I will be rating these designs using the nail emoji (💅). 1= easy and 5= super hard (which I doubt any of these will be)

Before you start any of these designs you're going to want to put on a base coat. It helps protect your nails from the polish and it helps with the longevity of the designs.

#1 - Frankenstein Nails (found on Pinterest)

Rating: 💅💅

What you will need: any kind of light green nail polish (just look at a picture of Frankenstein and see what color you think is best), black nail art pen (or black nail polish and a toothpick)

- First you want to paint all of your nails green (use as many coats of nail polish as you need)

- Next, with your nail art pen (or toothpick), you want to draw random lines all over your nails (they don't have to be perfect)

- When the lines dry, you're going to draw smaller lines across the larger ones to look like stitches

- Add a top coat and you're finished!

#2 - Orange & Black

Rating: 💅

What you will need: black polish, orange polish, orange glitter, makeup sponge

- First you will need to paint your pointer finger, ring finger, and pinky black

- Then, paint your pointer finger and ring finger orange

- Once your nails dry, take your makeup sponge and paint the glitter nail polish onto it then press the polish onto your ring finger. Applying glitter this way will help it go on more even and prevent it from moving around and you can also apply more this way.

- Add a top coat and you're done!

#3 - Jack Skellington

Rating: 💅💅💅💅

What you will need: white nail polish, black nail art pen (or black nail polish and a toothpick)

- Paint your ring finger and pointer finger completely white

- Paint the remaining fingers white but only halfway, kind of like a french manicure

- Once the white dries, on the half painted nails,  take your nail art pen and draw a line of back going across where the white polish meets your natural nail. Then, draw lines going up and down all across that first black line to make it look like stitches

- On your pointer finger draw back vertical lines

- On your ring finger draw Jack Skellington's face

- Add a top coat and you're finished!
