Spring Break 2016: Florida

Recently my friends and I went to Florida for a little spring break trip.

On New Years we discovered that we all had the same week off so we kind of just impulsively decided that we would all go away. One of my friend's grandparents rent a house every year so we were able to stay with them and it turned out to be a lot of fun.

Our flight going out was a later one in the day, since my friend had class in the morning, and went a lot smoother than the last time we went to Florida. We had a slight issue with a gate change and a small delay but nothing too bad. We didn't land too late either.

The entire week was basically a debate if we wanted to tan by the pool or on the beach. Such hard decisions. In the house we stayed at, the pool was in the backyard and the beach was across the street. Pretty good in my opinion. We spent the whole afternoon (with the exception of a lunch break) laying out in the sun then coming in around 4pm to get ready for dinner.  The entire week the weather was in the 80's and it was so beautiful. No rain and not too windy wither. And at night, even though it was chilly we just needed a light sweater. Also, every night we would walk across the street to the beach and have cocktails while watching the sunset.

We stayed in to eat pretty much every night, we even made dinner for everyone (which turned out delicious, by the way). The two nights we did go out we went to a Mexican restaurant and a seafood restaurant, both very good. Some night we even decided to go out to the more crowded area that had a lot of shops and places to eat. We got ice cream and walked around and even watched the sunset there.

Overall, I would say this was a successful spring break trip. Lots of great memories were made and I even got a little tan.
